Burton L. Bank received his Bachelor’s Degree in Aero Engineering from the University of Maryland – College Park. Prior to founding Chesapeake Interlink, Ltd., he launched Shelby Slacks, Inc. and Chesapeake Bay Trading Company. Both ventures became successful and were purchased by larger corporations. Burt’s experiences with these companies taught him the importance of Customer Relationship Management long before the term CRM became an industry standard. After founding Chesapeake Interlink, Ltd. as a professional time-sharing service, his leadership transformed the company into the first American software company to create and market the first computerized legal case management system. Burt still maintains office hours at Needles, although he is officially retired since the Fall of 2008. In his personal time, he also is an avid traveler, golfer and social bridge player. Bank’s international travels have taken him to Canada, England, Israel, France, Italy, Japan, China, Egypt, Guatemala, Peru, India, Alaska and Hawaii. As a licensed pilot, he has flown over 4500 hours in a Twin Engine Aztec. Bank has also been married for over 60 years and has three children and four grandchildren.
