FACT SHEET
-
-
The major benefit of the “Status to
the Web” feature is that it provides greater access to case
information. By using the feature, Needles clients will be able
to export information from their Needles system to their firm’s
website. This information can then be securely viewed by clients,
attorneys and referring attorneys at any time.
-
-
Using 128-bit encryption
technology, attorneys will have three levels of access to manage
and display their case information online. This enables the
individual client to decide what to information should be exported
and how it will be displayed. Firm members may also decide to
export only certain case types or information for all pending
cases including relevant case dates, court, judge and trail data,
along with checklist information, medical record request status,
general notes, arbitration information and upcoming deadlines.
After selecting the content to export, filters can be applied to
organize the information based on case type, staff assignments and
party roles.
-
-
The exported information is stored
in a secure portion of the firm’s website and is accessible to
only those individuals possessing a password and username. The
login information for each clients is unique and an individual may
only access his or her information once he has logged in. If a
firm hosts its own website, it may adjust its settings to have the
company’s website search for the exported files. For websites
hosted off site, an FTP program may be used to transmit files or
an export feature may be used to perform an automatic file
transfer.
-
-
The “Status to the Web” feature
will be demonstrated at the October 26-27, 2006 User Group Meeting
in Las Vegas. The enhancement was developed by a partnership with
Carbon42, developers of eCaseStatus.
